Add a link to a webpage

To add a link to a website to your diagram, first select the text that you want to turn into a link:

Then click the link icon at the top of the text editing area:

This will insert the Markdown syntax that we use for links in Coggle, with the part that you need to change to set the URL you want to link to highlighted:

Just replace "https://example.com" with the URL of the webpage (or file uploaded to dropbox or google drive) that you want to link to.

When you're done editing the item, click outside of it to save your changes. Your link will be underlined and highlighted in blue text. To see the address of the page which is being linked, hover over the text: you can also click on the address to follow the link.

You can also use Markdown like this to create links to other Coggle diagrams. When linking to a Coggle diagram you can add a link fragment (hashlink) onto the end to link to a specific item within the diagram as well, like this:

[link to a branch](https://coggle.it/diagram/W6TokJi_kmVYa5d8#does-a-relevant)

To identify the branch to link to use the first words of the branch, in lowercase, separated by hyphens. In the above example The branch with the text "Does a relevant Knowledge Base article exist?" is identified by the link fragment #does-a-relevant
