Pasting Multiple Lines of Text

You can paste text into a Coggle diagram from another document, using the [ctrl] + [V] keyboard shortcut, or with the browser paste menu. This is a great way to add a outline to your diagram from which to add more detail.

Normally, when you paste three or more lines of text into a Coggle diagram, they will be split into separate branches:

This makes it easy to add further branches based on each line (great for starting with the agenda or plan for a meeting from an email, and then making detailed notes!)

If instead you want all the lines of text to be placed into a single item, select some text before pasting. All the pasted text will replace the selected text, even if you just select a single character, like this:
