Use Control Points to Change the Path of a Connection

All our paid plans include control points to adjust the path of branches in a Coggle diagram, giving you more control over where exactly the lines go.

You can use control points on all branches, in both flow-chart diagrams using shapes, and mind map diagrams.

Add a new Control Point

Click or hover near to a branch, to see places where control points can be added. Up to 7 points can be added halfway along the branch, or halfway between existing control points.

Click or drag the faded control point to create a control point at that position:

If the ends of a branch are too close together, or two control points on a branch are too close together, then you must move the items further apart before you can add a control point.

Click or hover near a branch to show its control points. Then drag any control point to move it:
