Remove the Shape from Items

To remove the shape from an item in Coggle, to return to the default mind map format, use the shape menu to choose the 'text alongside branch' shape.

This option is not available for central root items (items which do not have a connected parent), as the central root item in a Coggle mindmap has branches in every direction, so it cannot have text alongside the branch.

Instead, you can use the 'text interrupting branch' shape to remove the background of the root item.
