Create Multiple Root Items

If you have any of our paid plans, then you can create multiple separate trees in any of your diagrams.

To do this, first create a  text label using the background context menu, then add branches to the text label to turn it into a root item:

To move the new tree to a new position drag the root item: all of its branches will move with it.

You can also create a new root item by detaching an existing branch with the transplant menu.

Tip: you can join branches and create cross-links between different trees in your diagram – this allows you to create more flexible flow-diagrams and network diagrams.

The new tree works just like the tree branching out from the main title of your diagram. The styling of the root item is slightly different (dark text on a lighter background, vs white text for the diagram's title), so you can tell them apart.
